It was announced at the end of Prime News that Mike Galanos will be taking over Erica Hill’s seat…

I was kinda disappointed the entire second hour was canned. Usually they have several live spots in the 6pm hour… I like Mike, but wanted Richelle to host with her southern drawl!

Sarah, she is going to be on AC360 fulltime starting Feb 1st. I’m unsure of exactly how much air time she’ll get but assume it’ll be more than that bulletin/news break type crap. Oh, and I think the ratings will be interesting to watch, considering some of her faithful viewers (including myself) will now start watching AC360.

Mike Galanos is a good journalist and I liked it when him and Erica did Prime News together… even though it seemed more like “Prime Tragedy” because they mainly just continued on whatever “story” Nancy Grace had been covering. I doubt the show will do well and think it will fail without Erica, especially if they keep ignoring the important stories and keep covering the continuous loop of tragedy TV tabloid garbage Nancy Grace covers. And for pete sake, get that “Happening Now” sign off there. When else would it be happening?

Thanks, Terance…I actually love watching Anderson and Erica together…they have great chemistry, I just hope she has a larger place on the program. I may have to start watching again!

i think mike galanos will do a good job replacing erica and i wish him all the best. Erica and Anderson are just natural together and they will make a better show you’ll see.

Steve, as an example, on the Heath Ledger coverage, Prime News was live for 2 hours straight. And if news warrants they usually have live spots mixed in with some rehashed interviews from the first hour. But, on Erica’s last show, it was either a complete repeat or just thrown into HLN’s “digital jukebox” and shuffled. I expected the last show to be live for the entire time.. which is just my expectations being shattered!

I agree with Paco. From 5pm to 6am the whole prime time and night time programming is tabloid trash. I used to be able to
watch HLN from 5 to 6pm until slimetime expanded.

iam really disappointed in Mike Galanos i think thats a racism comment he made about Ms obama comment nobody took it out of context but him its sad i used to listen to his views but i seen a dark side of him thats upset with the color of a person skin and the comment she made he stated a lot of people is upset i am inside a big college and not 1 person said her comment was off base when did mike Galanos turned so SHADY i guess when his race was threatened i guess i still got my girl ERICA HILL

Where has this new Mike Galanos come from..Its like he’s trying to be the next Michael Savage…This anger personality doesn’t fit him, he’s always been a straight laced cnn news anchor with no opinion..I think its for ratings.

I love Mike Galanos. He is so down to earth and I have never heard him being racist. There’s always SOMEONE who plays the race card and the poster up above apparently has some race issues herself or is another nationality and/or race than American. I find Mike to be a very polarizing type of guy. When the news is about children being kidnapped/killed his voice always lets you know he is truly hurting as well as his audience.

Mike said to call him on his email at cnn.com/prime time. This email as it stands does not exist for transmission of an email. HELP and don’t have mike advertise on TV his so called EMail - it does not work I wanted to send a comment re the ladies in waiting re Tiger Woods and could not find a correct email address for Mike. I still would like to send my comments but I want to make sure they go to Mike. I don’t know how I got this page to make a comment. The other way the lines are busy, etc. I would appreciate a reply. Thank you Dolores
