  1. I get no sense that Chris Matthews is anything but a genuine political addict. I value his analysis and place both he and Tim Russert a cut above the other talking heads with regard to honest evaluation of a given situation.

  2. Since Hillary and Soros helped start MM, it’s not a shock they have been targeting Matthews.
The fact that he and Russert, while I disagree with them at times, are willing to be fairly straight down the middle and actually *gasp* ask tough questions of Hillary is a criminal offense in the Hillary/Soros world. That explains their attacks on both guys.

  4. This interesting since KO gets his talking points from Clinton’s Media Matters..if they tell him to go after Chrissy ..will he?

  5. 3:
No. The “brave” Olby only waits until a guy is all but fired before he piles on. Look at how he waited until Imus was all but out the door before he pounced. That, or he talks to TVN and feeds them “anonymous” quotes.

  6. Given how KO all but copies and pastes MM’s writings for his own show, I get the feeling they are doing this to help him out by trying to force KO’s only serious competition on that network.

And I bet KO is still steaming about that dig Matthews made in 2007 where he told KO that he at least has opposing views on his show.

  8. Keith wouldn’t dare. He likes his $$$$ and he’ll be a company man until if and when Matthews does something outrageous enough that MSNBC fires him. Remember, Olbermann uttered not one word about Imus until after-the-fact and then claimed he’s “spoken out against him” “behind-the-scenes”. Yeah, sure Keith. I guess we’ll hear similar if and when Matthews is zapped but honestly? Given Olbermann’s propensity for shooting his mouth off? I’d make a good guess that Keith will be history long before Matthews is shown the door.

  9. Media Matters goes after MSNBC all the time and Olbermann doesn’t say a peep. He acts like Media Matters only goes after Fox. The only spine he has is only directed toward Fox, O’reilly, and conservatives.

  10. I am so glad to hear somebody is keeping an eye on Matthews. What he said about Hillary Clinton was absolutely outrageous. And he should of been forced to make a real apology, not the piece of garbage we got.

  11. MM monitoring Chris Matthews? Do you think they’re trying to “Imus” Chris? If they are, they’re only doing it for our own good …because they love us …and want to protect us …from ourselves. If they weren’t there deciding what is right, what is wrong, what is good, what is evil …we’d have to do it ourselves. A daunting task, eh?

  13. I’ve long been a fan/viewer of Matthews; his is the only show I’ll watch on MessNBC in the aftermath of Imus. I do find it rich that a guy who worked for 2 of the 3 most powerful liberals/Democrats of this generation now finds himself on constant trial by…a so-called liberal organization. It’s always the phony liberals who want to punish or kill speech.

  14. Media Matters the standard bearers for the jaded and debased, transparent and shallow much? These people are setting the standards for the media? More like the low water mark. MMFA when you are too lazy to produce your own propaganda (KO)
