I didn’t watch this morning. Is this set in Washington or New York?

NY, where did they get the space for this? When its finished they should turn it into the main studio for Dayside programming (American’s Newsroom in an actual newsroom would be a start!).

Unlike Fox’s other set this one has depth. I think fox has been falling behind in their election coverage because their sets are not good. Shep’s set is perfect for one person but when they have the panel in the front on that weird shaped table it looks like a narrow room. Hopefully they will use this set more often.

I almost wonder if this is somehow an extension of Studio E due to many similar elements (LED-based background, big screens, etc.), though who knows. Still, FNC’s use of E has begun to just urk me since they seem to be using lighting very badly, having shadows appear on the big screens and overall brightening the big screens up too much, making the studio look nothing short of garbage. Maybe I pay too much attention.

Spud I saw this earlier on an HD televsion. Some of the
elements looks like it is some sort of CGI scheme in
the background because because elements in the background
seemed to be bleeding into each other.Take a look at
the left side of the frame grab.Somehow it does not
lool like an actual backbround behind Brit Hume.It
seems like it is being shot a little too tight

What is this going to be called now, Studio G?
I was thinking the same thing, Mike, about this being used for America’s Newsroom. They need to get in there, quick. That closet they’re anchoring in now is so embarrassing.
There’s really no way for this to be a part of Studio E, since E is sort of a closed-off shape with the F&F, Big Story, and Fox Report sets making a kind of loop. But obviously the same designers had a hand in this one. I also noticed the awful shadows on the projection screen the other day when Trace Gallagher was standing in front of it. They need to fix that.

Yeah, it’s embarrasing the #1 network has graphics and sets comparable to cable access. That studio should be used for any general news shows. FNL, American’s Newsroom, Studio B, Happening Now etc… Maybe then demolish the old studio (O’Reilly, America’s Newsroom) and build a proper set for O’Reilly. His current one is a mess.

Wow, this set just looks amazing.
I wonder how their graphics will be tomorrow night… It’s almost certain they’ll use a different pack than they’ve done with the Primaries and Caucusses so far.

When Spud visited NY didn’t he tell us that FNC was building a new studio (probably HD capable)? Could that be this studio? Would be nice for FNC to switch to HD. FBN uses HD and the picture quality is much better.

Don’t like the set - it’s too much! Wish they didn’t have to use Megyn Kelly, not likable either!

It’s ABOVE the bit of the news corp building that sticks out (I think studio D).. they’ve been building it for some months now..

Studio E can be used for HD - the new set though will come back high atop 1211. And yeah the lighting in E is out of control bad but seems to be getting better, can you say light spillage?
