On talking about the company’s success:
“Yesterday, for instance, we’ve had the greatest day ever in the history of the network…we took in over 250 million dollars in revenue. And, it was a great game.”
On the reports of moving the WSJ to midtown:
“We would like to do that but we haven’t worked it out fully yet. I think when you take over a company and you want to make changes, it’s good to do everything you can to change the culture and a physical move is a big and useful thing to do.
It would be for everybody….that’s the hope…I think it would take a year.”
On FBN:

Update 2: News Corp. release on earnings. FNC section highlight…
Fox News Channel (FNC) reported operating income growth of 47% compared to thesecond quarter a year ago, primarily from higher affiliate revenues on increased ratesand additional subscribers. The quarter also included advertising revenue growth on increased rates and higher volume as ratings increased in both prime-time and on a 24-hour basis. For the quarter, FNC‘s viewership was more than 80% greater than its nearest competitor in primetime and was 67% greater on a 24-hour basis, reflecting FNC broadcasting the top seven shows in cable news.
