The Big Idea comes to Peoria…

The popular CNBC show “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch” will be in Peoria today to shoot a new segment called “Will It Play in Peoria?” The segment will be part of a series called “Minutes to Millions: Would You Buy It?” Viewers will be encouraged to vote on whether or not the new ideas could be turned into million-dollar products.
The segment plays on the fact that Peoria has long been considered one of the best test markets in the country, made popular by the slogan “Will it Play in Peoria?”
“It goes beyond business,” Deutsch said. “It’s an iconic saying, part of our pop culture. Whenever anyone wants to question the potential of a big idea, they say, ‘Will it play in Peoria?’”
Popular? Nice spin. I have NO IDEA why he’s still on the air. CNBC can air any of their game show repeats and get more then triple? the ratings and profits?
He probably has dirt on CNBC or doing ads for the whole NBC family for free lol.

I’ve never really understood why his ratings are so dismal. When I’ve watched the show, I’ve found it pretty entertaining. That said, I don’t watch it often.

I watch the show every nite I have a chance! Its a relief to finally see something good positive and inspiring on t.v.
It’s a fact that the average child witnesses 14,000 simulated murders on t.v. before only the age of 12, maybe if children watch donny-deutsche type of shows instead, society as a whole might be different….
Today’s society, a child may spend more time in front of the t.v. than in front of their parents, so I ask you, Who do you want influencing your child and your family’s future, Law & Order on T.V. or YOU? Be the person you’ve always wanted to be and be a role model, watch t.v. as an educational tool to inspire & uplift your life to better days ahead!
