That wasn’t pimping-it was whoring.

But Olberman and his ilk are never sorry for the things they
have said about the Bush family are they?
Comment by Liz — February 9, 2008 @ 10:38 am
Olbermann is never sorry for anything he says about ANY woman. No wonder Shuster thought it was okay to make sexist remarks about a woman-God knows he’d seen it done often enough by the Big Boys at MSNBC.
Comment by Alison — February 9, 2008 @ 10:47 am
To believe that the Clinton’s actually have feelings is a bit of a stretch, isn’t it? You enter the campaign, you takes your lumps…..
Comment by Jim Folger — February 9, 2008 @ 11:21 am
Who is going to apologize for Olbermann? What an a$$ He sys as bad or worse about the right and many other new people every single day. It’s fitting in a twisted way as Shuster is clearly an Olby wannabee!
Comment by Gary — February 9, 2008 @ 11:27 am
Is Olberidiot groucho marx or some insane sports guy masquerading as a “journalist’
MSNBC should apologize for allowing him a show for
beneath his poorly worded, thoughtless, ill concieved comments, and shallow arguements, there really is not much there is there?

Alison, great point! When Ann Coulter went wild last week saying she would campain for Hillary. If Slip Shuster would have made the pimping comment with Ann in it, everybody would be having a great big LOL at MSNBC.
No doubt when they gave Slip the two weeks off, they made that clear. It’s not what you say, it’s who you say it about on MSLSD.
Olbermann did what he did to cover his butt with the Clintons. If push came to shove, Shuster would be under a Subway Car.
It is N.Y.C. you know.

Oberman, what a wussy.
Oh Clintons are upset, woooo.
And what a great president she will make.
God forbid what will happen to the news media then.

Comment by Tony — February 9, 2008 @ 1:52 pm
You should fire olbermann, he’s a joke as a journalist. He’s always saying thing about any Republicans.
Comment by James Storar — February 9, 2008 @ 2:04 pm
Good grief. Can they possibly suck up to the Clintons any more? I’ve never heard of any medium apologizing over and over for an error. You say it once, and it’s done.
This is ridiculous. And it’s only because they’re bowing at the altar of Queen Hillary and the Democrat whiners.
Comment by bigred — February 9, 2008 @ 2:34 pm
“He’s always saying thing about any Republicans.”
James, you really nailed it on the head. You are welcome here anytime.
Comment by elmonica — February 9, 2008 @ 3:20 pm
Gee, doesn’t that make David Shuster yesterdays “WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD” ?
Comment by Peggy — February 9, 2008 @ 3:32 pm
Olbermann and Dan Abrams are both absolute losers. They spend more time slamming Bill O’Reilly, Fox News in general, Lou Dobbs and others at CNN, than they do RUNNING THEIR OWN SHOWS!!! How they’ve managed to stay below the radar and remain on the air, is an absolute mystery to me.
Comment by Louie — February 9, 2008 @ 3:57 pm
Shuster’s comment was a bit crude, but certainly not worth a suspension. Since before 1992 Chelsea has been off limits to the media. Because she was only a child and she wasn’t involved in politics. Fair enough. However she is now 27 and obviosly now very involved in the family business.
Personally the way Hillary has been using her, esxposing her to specific situations to help buy her votes I would say it pretty much fits the definition of pimping as I’ve seen it.
MSNBC cracks me up every time I watch it. They are obsessed with FOX news. They must have every monitor in the studio tuned to FOX. They claim the FOX is biased. WOW, is that the pot calling the the kettle or what. Countdown is fully bought and paid for by move on.com or Air America. Miss Olberman never has anyone on that disagrees wtih his silly vews on the world. If only he could achieve the numbers that FOX racks up in prime time maybe he’d calm down.

Olbermann apologizing!!!!! what a joke. He needs to apologize for the numerous deragotory comments he makes about President Bush, Fox News personalities etc. I stopped watching MSNBC years ago and only watch during FOX News commercials….I wonder if Shuster will make K.O.’s Worse,Worser,Worst section….I doubt it…some FOX personalities will make all categories for somethinf REALLY INSIGNIFICANT….
Comment by Walt — February 9, 2008 @ 7:37 pm
Since KO is fond of claiming that anyone who moves from MSNBC to FNC wasw “fired” by MSNBC, was Greg Jarret “fired” for apologizing to Niger Innis immediately after being identified as “Nigger Innis” on the chyron? Apparently, apologizing to the wrong people is a firing offense.
Or “nigger” is an acceptable description within MSNBC of blacks who consort with Republicans.

All the hypersensitivity is just control-freak manipulation, no more, no less. Political correctness is a direct attack on free speech, and a transparent effort to control the speech of your opponent with “eggshelly” feigned hypersensitivity. That this stupidity is considered “news” speaks to the imbecility of the current American political culture of manipulation and deception.
Everybody involved, including you, me, Hillary, Chelsea, Shuster, Obama, McCain, all other politicians and pundits, ad infinitum has said far worse. Any and all who disagree are liars.
This garbage is akin to “Your mama’s ugly” or “my dad’s bigger than your dad!” That this stuff is considered “news” makes me want to throw up.
There were no obscenities or “fighting words” involved. It was a simple case of poor word choice. Big deal. So what?
I consider any and all individuals who favor political correctness to be anathema. They are wannbe-clever anti-intellectual, anti-freedom control-freak manipulators with whom no conversation is either possible or desired. In reference to such people, I use the word “human being” only loosely, and I enthusiastically give them the middle digit salute.
The idea that Shuster should lose his job over this wannabe-clever manipulation is both inappropriate and unacceptable. I say that as one who dislikes both the Clintons and Shuster. Talk about a tempest in a low-IQ teapot! Grow up, children, for crying out loud!

Cable news is useless. Especially fox news. Turn off your tvs, go outdoors, breathe in the air and soak up the sun.

live a little…
What part of your daily strategy includes “posting on a cable news blog?” I’d just like to know, because I’m planning my new daily schedule, and want to use your words as inspiration.

Olberman stated on his show once before That “President Bush was Pimping General Petraeous to the Congress”. Is that not offensive? Olberman should shut up.
