  1. Hot

CNN - Once again, they haul over the competition in the ratings for another major election event. Overall, the coverage was great on all the channels, personally watching MSNBC.

  2. HOT

Fox Super Sunday-Shepard Smith, Bill Hemmer, and Megyn Kelly, as well as FNC in general, got some face time on the big Fox network. That should be beneficial to them.

Super Tuesday-22 states had primaries or caucuses on Tuesday, making it the biggest Super Tuesday in election history. The news networks went all-out on their coverage of it, with CNN emerging as the victor, FNC in second, and MSNBC in third.

Karl Rove-Regardless of what you think of him, he’s still a big gain for FNC.

Eric Burns-His departure will herald big changes to Fox News Watch.

    NOT

Nielsen-They botched Super Tuesday’s ratings big time, leaving a lot of people here speculating who benefited or got shortchanged by the screw-up.

  3. What will Keith do after the election? Without Bush he loses 50% of his shows content. Eliminate Fox from the comment, and you are down to 25% or less. So now factor out a lame duck admin and Billo…what we have is 25% other content and Britney/Hollywood is half of that! Is that a good use of our airwaves? Especially in such an important year? Is Keith a Hollywood reporter or a political commentator or a mouth piece for Abrams? It must be a combo, because without Fox and Bush, what has he got to say?

  4. HOT: Super Tuesday coverage. All did good. I was most interested in commentary by Rove.

HOT: The Shuster story. Coverage was everywher.

NOT: Eric Burns leaving Fox News Watch and changes being made to the program. I like it, although it has some weak moments. But “if it ain’t broke… “.

  6. What will Keith do after the election? Without Bush he loses 50% of his shows content.

What did FNC do after the Clintons? Oh yeah… they went out of business, right?

  8. Totally agree with Aaron and Gramps!

You should say “Ditto” Ira, like when you call into Rush Limbaugh’s program.

  9. Whats hot: Hillary clinton getting more pr with her having less money then obama, and possibly giving her a boost this weekend for Delegates i do belive she is at 1055 at the moment while watching fox news! (how long will the victim card work for hillary?)

    not hot:
david shuster getting thrown under the bus for msnbc’s caving to the hillary campaign and keith olbermann putting hiself in the story and offering another apology for all of MSNBC

dont worry if david gets fired look for what we will all expect… wpitw just like he did to don imus

  10. Hot: The Shuster affair.

Not: The double standards employed by MSNBC by punishing Shuster but letting KO and Chrissy Mathews off scott free for the racist and sexist things they do and say.

    Comment by mlong — February 9, 2008 @ 6:33 pm

  11. elmonica: For about the 200th time, I never call talk shows and unless I am stuck in my car, hardly ever listen to Rush.

  12. HOT - Norah! I actually watched about 2-3 hours of MSNBC last night and didn’t have to see KO or CM.. imagine that! Norah was simply delightful as usual and I think she needs a regular hosting gig. I see this morning she in on Tucker Weekend too.

  13. Hot: David Shuster’s suspension

Not Hot: NBC not terminating David Shuster (This is not the first time he has done something problematic while guest hosting)
