When does O'Reilly put down network news? He rarely talks about the network news, and when he does, it's in the context of the news-makers.

And wait... are you suggesting he should go on the network shows, or that when he goes on the shows he shouldn't talk about it so much? I can't quite figure out what you're trying to say.

And his fans care about his appearance on the Letterman show. Letterman attacks him for no apparent reason, and without knowing the facts... and O'Reilly gets to turn to the audience and say, "See, these are the knuckleheads I'm talking about! The people who've made up their mind, don't actually know what's going on, but think they're experts!"

If you don't care... don't watch. Otherwise, it's hard to argue 'nobody cares' after writing a blog post about it.

Oreilly is always putting down the networks but when he is going to make an appearence on one of the network shows; he always shouts it from the rooftop. Its like almost he wants to convince himself that he should be a biggie on the network shows. I am getting tired of his stupid question whether he should appear on the Letterman show again. Who cares? Why is he so needy?

FNC may allow their competition on the air but they routinely smear them as unpatriotic terrorist-enablers.
Comment by Ellen of News Hounds — February 11, 2008 @ 2:46 pm

Wrong. Incorrect. Erroneous. Incorrect. Fake. Bogus. Untrue. Made-up. Fabricated. Misleading. Fallacious. Lie. Fib. Propaganda. Falsehood.

I could go on listing synonyms, but guess ya’ll get the gist. It’s Ellen from NewsHounds… truth and honesty is unfamiliar territory. She knows it’s not true… but that’s okay… as long as it’s negative about FOX, it’s close enough. We’re a bit smarter than that, over here at ICN… sorry to bring you down.

What’s really surprising, Ellen (more than you were able to find time to post here… because from what I’ve been reading, you’re filling most of your time banning commentators, and fighting with those who work for you over at NewsHounds) is that you’ve missed the content CNN is effectively banning. This isn’t an O’Reilly or Hannity book… it’s Geraldo… and it’s a book about “Why American’s Fear Hispanics.” If I’m not mistaken, that’s a very NON-REPUBLICAN point-of-view… in fact, it’s a very LIBERAL point-of-view!

So ignoring that Geraldo works for FNC, CNN is prohibiting a liberal author from promoting their book on the network. WOW! That sounds like something you’d be upset about, if the shoe were on the other foot, does it?

So what? FNC may allow their competition on the air but they routinely smear them as unpatriotic terrorist-enablers. I don't recall any outrage on your part about that. But now that CNN doesn't want to help promote its competitor, it's boo-frickin'-hoo time.

This post sounds like it came straight out of an FNC PR department.

Cry me a river!

Terance: What was in those corn flakes this morning?

Geraldo happens to be correct about CNN and he should have added that Lou Dobbs has appeared both on radio and TV with O'Reilly.

I have noticed that Fox News Contributors Dick Morris and Newt Gingrich routinely appear on other networks to promote books. Of course, O'Reilly has appeared on Letterman, Leno, “The View” etc. Geraldo was recently on "Good Morning America." There are plenty of other cross promotions and appearances by Fox people but nothing for them on CNN or HLN.

And note that Olbermann recently appeared on "Reliable Sources."

You can always count on the NyPost/News Corp for the inside scoop on everything BUT FNC/FBN or their talent. With that said, I don't see any reason to have Gerlado on HLN.. let him go on BO and get grilled by the mustache expert. Oh wait, I meant body language expert.

“His Panic: Why Americans Fear Hispanics in the U.S."?

Maybe CNN, like many of us, just reject the premise of his book.

Geraldo and others (Fred Barnes, Mort Kondracke, etc.) resort to calling people "race baiters" and worse just because we want our immigration laws, and ALL laws for that matter, enforced.

I can't imagine how the topic of his book would fit into Nancy Grace's program. However, the conversation would be great if he'd discuss it with Lou Dobbs.

Chickened out?

How about "Didn't want to give publicity to a competetor"?

I doubt anyone is scared of Geraldo's massive powerhouse ratings.
