  1. Barbara Walters has Shuster’s back but no one from his own network is willing to support the guy? Geez.

  2. I’m not a big fan of David Schuster; as a matter of fact, I find him annoying. But, I’m with Barbara Walters on this one. I find the Clinton campaign response to this issue as somewhat troubling and reminiscent of the old Clinton ways of personally destroying anyone they perceive as their enemy. Unfortunately, the word “pimp” in most circles is no longer considered as a perjorative word and is now part of the mainstream lexicon. Schuster’s use of this word was in poor taste, but he certainly doesn’t deserve to have his career destroyed for saying it.

  3. I’d imagine anyone defending Shuster on MSNBC’s air would likely suffer the same fate.. And acting as if people on other cable nets defend their own (on air) when the circumstances are on par with the “pimpin’ comment” is pure BS.

Terance: Except for a certain host who was recently accused of “running MSNBC!” :)

  5. Today, Tucker slightly defended Shuster by talking about the Clinton strategy of “If you don’t like her, you must be evil like David Shuster”

  7. Ira, are you saying KO defended Abrams?? If so, maybe it is true he runs the joint.

    Comment by Terance — February 11, 2008 @ 8:11 pm

  8. Opps, I meant Shuster instead of Abrams.

    Comment by Terance — February 11, 2008 @ 8:13 pm

  9. Terance: I’m saying that if if Keith defended Shuster, he would escape unscathed.

  10. One if is enough!

    Comment by Ira — February 11, 2008 @ 10:54 pm

  11. Oh, Ira, so you were just talking in “hypotheticals” like a lot of people do around here. Perhaps its time to focus on the topic rather than what would happen IF.. For instance, what IF I claimed to have a job at FNC cleaning their toilets? And then what IF I haven’t even applied yet? Or what if they don’t need anyone? Now, what does that have to do with the subject? It should be crystal clear like a sparkling toilet.

  12. Terance, have you been drinking?

Sparkling toilets? I don’t know what you’ve got, but must be good stuff.

  13. ImNotBlue, that was just my overall feelings about 90% of the blog posters here to stop talking about WHAT IF all the time and just address the subject. Really, throwing out stuff such as, “If it was FNC”, “If it was CNN”, “If it was a dem or repub” really adds nothing to the conversation but idle speculation of something that didn’t happen. Is it really that hard to just talk about the topic in particular?

  14. Oh, I got what you were trying to say, Terance.

But it was the WORST ANALOGY EVER! Hehehe.

  15. “WORST ANALOGY EVER”

HA! Well, at least ya know how I feel about all these “what if” posts that seem to inundate the threads.
