Shuster: Hillary Clinton compliments FNC?
FishbowlDC has a recap of Hillary Clinton’s comments to the Politico’s John Harris regarding MSNBC and the praise she gives FNC over their coverage of her. Oddly enough, the Politico’s website has an incomplete transcript of the interview as of 10:08pm PST…
Update: The Politico fixed its transcript…
JOHN HARRIS: Senator, you were offended the other day for reasons that I think a lot of people understood by comments that were made on MSNBC. And in the wake of that, I heard from some of the people on your staff who say, to their surprise, they actually think that Fox News is giving you a better break than MSNBC. Is that your perception?
SENATOR CLINTON: Well, there was some independent study that my staff sent me — we didn’t do it — but it was some independent study which seemed to suggest that, that in terms of the fairness of the coverage — you know, look, I’m a mom first. I’m a candidate second. And, you know, I really am troubled by this pattern of behavior and comments that you hear.
JOHN HARRIS: Two-week suspension, you said that’s inadequate for what was said. What would be adequate? Are you looking for a firing or something more?SENATOR CLINTON: That’s not my job, John. You know, that’s the job of the people who run the network. But I think that they need to take a hard look.
This is like the third time they’ve had to apologize. And there are a lot of things that they haven’t had to apologize for that might have merited one. So I wish they would take a look at, you know, some of the pattern of demeaning comments that are made on their networks.

Shuster wouldn’t have been suspended if his comment were about the Bush twins.

Hillary thinks the Bush Network is the friendliest…. I wonder what that could mean…. let’s see…. The Republicans like her. The foam at the mouth anti-democrats really like her….. Think about it folks, do you really want to listen to everything they would put out there on the air if she were to win the nomination!

This really shouldn’t be surprising. I think every independent study done in the last few years shows FNC to be the most fair and balanced. It’s just the MSM and far left blogs that always think otherwise.

So basically MSNBC has tried to turn themselves into the anti-Fox network and being liberal friendly and what does it get them? A kick in the balls by Hillary Clinton who then announces their arch-enemey runs a better operation than they do. And you know what? She’s right. Can you imagine Fox letting a presidential candidate cower them and try to run their network for them the way that MSNBC has rolled over, sucked up and otherwise kissed butt to Hillary? Time to grow a pair boys or get used to being Hill’s b****.

It’s nice that Hillary is a loyal mom to Chelsea, but this “I’m a mom first and candidate second” thing should not apply to someone wanting to be POTUS. What happens if some foreign power insults Chelsea, or Bill - would Hillary go to war, or cause some diplomatic uproar because of remarks or a perceived slight?
Someone wanting to be our nation’s leader is going to have to put EVERYTHING personal aside and concentrate on running the country first. Making that “I’m a mom first…” statement is noble in most cases, but not when the other role is POTUS. NO ROLE can be second to that.

I agree, Missy. For the years when you’re POTUS, it is number one. When your term is over, then you can go back to being a mom, dad, husband, wife, chicken farmer, window washer, long distance runner, or whatever. But POTUS is number one when you’re in the chair.

Read what Hillary ordered her SS agents to do when someone violated the “no talking to (or about) Chelsea” rule: http://www.slate.com/id/2184195 Is that what MSNBC wants to empower?

Bet Olbermann really hates that Hillary praised Fox,
Given the present climate at MSNBC, don’t look for Hillary to be named WPITW!
